Vietnamese Street Snack: Xoài xanh Nước mắm đường (Green Mangos with Sweet Fish Sauce)

You make a mango wild.

Today I am sharing one of my favorite Vietnamese street snacks, Xoài xanh Nước mắm đường aka Green Mango with Sweet Fish Sauce). Mango is very common in Southeast Asia especially Vietnam. Often times it is in when it’s ripen and sweet. However one of my favorite things to eat is unripe mango. Also known as green mango!

Because of its tart nature there is usually a dipping sauce that accompanies it. In Vietnamese street food there are usually two sauces. Both of them are super dank. Today I’m gonna share with you the lesser of the two pungent sauces. LOL.

So my go to dipping sauce for this is sweet fish sauce. The recipe is fairly simple, it contains fish sauce, sugar and chili garlic paste. You could adjust everything more or less to your liking, I like it more sweet and spicy so I will add more sugar and chili paste. Feel free to experiment with it and adjust to your taste buds.

As always there’s a recipe below and a video as well! Until next time!
