I’m obsessed with how beautiful these bowls are. It literally looks like a rainbow and whole foods had a baby. And I am hereeeeee for it!
Like I felt bad eating them because they were that good looking. I haven’t had too many good Acai Bowls in my lifetime. I think it’s the lack of fresh ingredients or the toppings just tasted okay for something that basically costs a meal. LOL. Lo and behold, Berry Brand.
Berry Brand is a superfood shop that specializes in not only acai bowls but superfood bowls as well. They were actually voted Best Acai Bowl in OC in 2018! So you can see why I was excited to try them out. They have two locations, Tustin and Cerritos so I went to the Tustin one. It’s located in Union Market and parking wasn’t too bad. There was plenty of spaces but it def got full quick.
Once inside you’re greeted with a plethora of bases and topping choices. You can customize almost anything in your bowl and they have unlimited toppings too! So go ham to your hearts content. I was too overwhelmed tbh so I went with the ones on the menu. Cause you can never go wrong with that.
After much thought, I decided to go for the: Basic Bowl
- Which included an Acai & Pitaya (aka Dragonfruit) base
- Middle Layer: Hemp Granola, Coconut Chia Pudding,
- Fruits: Strawberries , Banana , Blueberries ,
- Toppings: Sweet Coconut Shreds, Chia Seeds, Goji Berries, Apple Honee
I also got the Love Bowl: Fun fact. 100% of proceeds from this bowl will be donated to AAPI community!
- Base: Mango & Coconut Dream
- Middle Layer: Chia Pudding Matcha
- Fruits: Strawberry, Blueberries, Banana
- Toppings: Unsweet Coconut, Sunflower Seeds, Hemp Seeds, Agave
Finally, I got an Iced Matcha Oat Milk to go cause, you can never go wrong with matcha. Everything was honestly so freaking good! The layers tasted so fresh and combined so well with one another. My boyfriend (who’s not into healthy foods like this at all) literally devoured his bowl. LOL! The fact that it’s healthy is always a win-win.
