Today we’re making a passionfruit mousse! If you don’t know, this year was my first year growing and harvesting my own passion fruits.
There were so many in my harvest that I wanted to create another recipe using the passion fruits using only 4 ingredients (not including water LOL). The cool part about passion fruit is that they can sit and ripen on the counter long after they’re off the vine.
This sat on my fruit basket for probably a few weeks! So you want them to be more purple and wrinkly. That way you know they are sweeter although naturally this fruit is very tart.
Did you know it’s considered a berry? It’s super healthy and promotes heart and skin health! So win-win. Because it’s so naturally tart I wanted to create a sweet dessert to go with. Here is a mousse recipe using fresh passion fruit juice as well as passion fruit as the topping. I like it because it’s a nice sweetness in contrast with the tart fruit!
